We have a Lemongrass plant in our backyard and it is doing quite well. My question is - it has these stalks shooting up that almost look like "wheat." Should I leave them or trim them off when they come in? Thank you, Maryanne
If the Lemongrass went dormant over winter and has turned brown, you can wait until it is actively growing and then cut out these parts of the plant.

I planted lemongrass last year. Should it come back this year, or do I need to replant?
Lemongrass is a perennial, but it is only hardy in zones 9 and 10. If you live outside these zones, you'll need to replant each year unless you can move the plant indoors.
How many plants can I put into a large container. Just bought two plants that are not very big can I put both in one large container.
Lemon Grass grows quite quickly so choose a large enough container.
It sounds like you would be able to place your 2 smaller plants together.

Is lemon grass safe to plant over a septic and finger system?
Lemon Grass should be fine in this area.
I would not consume the Lemon Grass though, to be safe.
