Plants tend to grow taller and more spindly or stretched out when they are not getting enough light. Providing more light, with a sunnier window or a grow light if possible, will help the plant fill out. You can also cut the main stem back by about 1/3 to encourage it to grow more bushy.

Getting kalanchoes to bloom requires a specific process. Please see this article:

Succulents like this plant are very sensitive to overwatering, so it's important to only water them when the soil is dry. Also, make sure the plant is in well-drained soil (preferably a cactus/succulent mix, see the below article) and has enough drainage holes in the bottom of the pot.

The rocks might be making it difficult to see whether the soil needs watering or not, and they might be making the soil stay wet longer. I recommend removing them and checking the soil moisture a couple inches down. You may even need to remove the plant and its soil from the pot and let it dry out if the soil is very wet.

Hmmm, my best guess from the description would be a Kalanchoe.
The come in very pretty colors, including a pretty yellow.

I would suggest repotting it into a pot with a good drainage hole.
Use a soil formulated for cactus or succulent.

Leaf drop can be due to temperature, low light, over fertilizing, and commonly watering issues.

Giving succulents too much water too often will swell their leaves and, if they do not get a chance to dry out, cause them to drop off the plant. Wait until soil is almost completely dry and the leaves look a little limp before watering, then water thoroughly, until you see trickles coming out of the bottom of the pot. Repeat the process. Always use pots with drainage holes for succulents.

Your plant can benefit from a hard trim. Cut back to about 6 inches of growth left, and Put that in a higher light condition. It appears to be stretching due to a lack of light. To get that to flower again requires a little help on your part. You must reduce the light hours to 10 hours of light a day and 14 in pitch black for a month or so, followed by at least 14 hours of daylight after the month of increased darkness. During the dark month, reduce watering. If I can be of any more assistance, please let me know. You can email me at 6.schuster@gmail.com
