What is the best way to dispose of the plants?

I currently have ants all around my flower box, which is on my concrete patio. Issues with my salvia: There are these white growths on the bottom half of the salvia's stems near the roots. There are leaves that are see through. THere are also these brown specs that remind me of bugs or aphids on top of the leaves, that washed away when i used the hose. I have seen ants all over thi plant~~~~ My petunias consistently have holes in the flowers.~~~ I feel like both of these could be connected to the ants. Please help and thank you for any help!!
Ants can indicate a pest issue. Pests leave Honeydew residue and ants are attracted to it.

Some plants are sensitive to chemicals, and will have to be tested in a small area first to make sure that they do not get harmed.
The main concern here is mixing chemicals... The most likely thing that happened was a chemical reaction between the soap and pesticide that caused a reaction to the plants.
There are many options that are much less toxic to people and plants. This collection of articles will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/special/organic
Nest is under a large elijah blue plant so I can't see the entrance. I was trying to dig up the plant to divide it but shovel hit the nest and I got several sting bites. I have no photos.
