We have 3 holly bushes and 2 have white worm like things on them. The leaves of one of them are turning yellow. What is it and how do we treat it? We don't want to lose these bushes. They have been planted for 10 or more years.
I am not sure exactly what they are, but if you send a picture, we should be able to identify them. Regardless, we have found neem oil effective on most damaging pests. Here is more information on neem oil:

Our north facing, 13-year-old Holly is dropping its leaves. No insect problem that I can see. Nothing different has been done to the bush. We live in southwest Ohio. The stems of the affected area is just drying up and dying. Any suggestions?
This could be a watering or nutrient issue. Give it more water and have the soil tested to find out if it is deficient in anything, then fix as needed.
Holly leaves are turning brown and then stem is dying--more in the middle of the bush. It has always been healthy and I have had it for years. What can I do to save it? It started last summer and is much worse this spring.
There are a few things that can cause this. Holly scorch is the most common. This happens when the weather changes too quickly. The plant will recover from this on its own.
My holly bushes have white fuzzy balls underneath the leaves and is causing them to turn brown and drop off. What is this insect, and how do I get rid of it?
It sounds like mealy bugs or scale. Either one can be treated with neem oil. These articles will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/pesticides/neem-oil-uses.htm

I have holly bushes which have gotten out of hand. They are really thick and tall. Can these be cut back without killing the bush?
Yes, you can cut it back by about a third, though you may not have have to forfeit berries this season. Here is an article that you may find helpful: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/shrubs/holly/trimming-holly-bushes-how-to-prune-holly-bushes.htm
Many of the leaves on my holly bushes are covered with a grainy black coating. Leaves are dying. How can I treat this?
The black substance sounds like a sooty mold issue, most often brought on by pests. Neem oil can also be used to get rid of the pests as well as the fungus. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/disease/how-to-get-rid-of-sooty-mold.htm
We have 6 holly bushes in our flower bed. There are no spots or anything visible to the eye, but the leaves are falling off of just one of the bushes.
It sounds like it may be holly leaf blight. While it is normally shown with spots on the leaves, there is not always spots. Sometimes the green leaves just fall when this disease occurs. This article will help:
