Is it true that you should deadhead a new bloom on a geranium when first planted? I have been told that right after I planted my geranium, which there was a nice red bloom on it, that I needed to take it off, so that the plant would get bigger and spread out faster. I don't want to look at a green plant when there is a new bloom and it looks pretty! What is the right thing to do?
To encourage a geranium to become bushier, you pinch 1/4 to 1/2 inch off the end of all stems that are at least a few inches long. This will create a fuller looking plant by forcing the geranium to grow two new stems off the original. You do not have to take off your flower - enjoy that flower! You can wait until the flower fades before nipping it off.

I would like to have geranium garden to start, so how could I get seeds?
I would recommend making an inquiry at local garden centers and nurseries. Major retailers, such as Burpee, also sell them on-line.

My daughter is getting married on July 18th and wants red flowering geraniums (Pelargoniums) as decorations. I have taken cuttings and am growing them in pots. How do I ensure they have fresh blooms on the day? When should I pinch or cut out old flowers to get the best show?
These are plants you have started from cuttings?
It may be quite difficult to get your plants to bloom on your exact date!
Proper conditions; light, watering, and deadheading spent blossoms will help your plants grow and look their best.
Have lots of plants so you can select the best ones for your day.
Here is a couple links to care.

Accidentally spilled rubbing alcohol on my geranium plant. Tried to spray it off, but it is turning yellow quickly. Any recovery possible?
Though alcohol can be used to treat some insect infestations, it's best to dilute it and test the plant sensitivity on a small leave or area.
African Violets should not be treated with alcohol. Remove the effected leaves by cutting it back. Your plant should recover.

Does anyone know where I can purchase GERANIUM cantabrigiense 'Karmina' either in the Northwest or online? Or is there a more readily available hardy geranium that is similar (i.e. dark pink or purple color, small flowers, small leaves, clumping or cascading shape)?
I recommend that you make an inquiry at your local garden center or nursery, if they do not have this specific variety in stock they may be able to special order it for you.
There are places on-line that sell it. I did a quick Google search and found the following on-line merchant, for example:

As the flower buds start to really open, the flowers turn brown.
Are the plants receiving adequate water?
To much or to little could be the cause.

Help. My geranium has been in the house all winter and did very well indeed; however, only a few blossoms over the winter. Now in the spring/summer it has large fungal shapes that grow up out of the soil. Some have grown to 4-5" high in one day. I keep taking them out of the soil but still numerous little ones exist deeper down in the soil with just a little bit exposed on the surface. Should I assume the soil is too acidic, if so, how do I remedy that or should I repot and start over? I used organic potting soil and a clay pot. Thanks
I would replace the soil in the geranium pot.
Discard the old soil.
Geranium remove as much soil as possible and repot in a new pot or clean the old pot with a diluted bleach water solution.
This may be a good time to trim up the geranium as some become quite leggy while wintering over.
