I moved my Ficus inside in early October before we had any "cold" nights. I put it in a corner where it gets indirect light and it stays warm but it has lost almost all of its leaves since I brought it in.
Ficus do not like to be moved and will show you by dropping it's leaves.
Check for any signs of insects since the plant was outdoors.
Neem Oil is a good treatment if you find any issues.
Make sure the plant is getting adequate light and the proper watering.

My Ficus tree has started to have lots of little black straight lines on some of the leaves.
Leaf Spot fungus can leave black spots on the leaves of the plant.
The black lines that you describe could also be a build up of salts in the soil.
This can happen from watering with conditioned water.

What do I do? We have a cat that likes to relieve himself in the plant box and we have cleaned the mess out, but it looks like the mold or mildew is coming back. First, do we have to replant the tree in new soil? If so, how is this done without bringing the problem to the next change of soil?

I have had this ficus for about 20 years. All of a sudden all of the leaves now have these yellow and brown spots. Any ideas what this is and how to fix this?
This type of leaf damage can be caused by a few different insects.
I would treat the plant with Neem Oil, this will treat the insects and is safe for people and pets.

I was wanting to know the best way to shine the leaves on my new funky Ficus plant. It is an indoor plant and I do not want to do the wrong thing. I have enclosed a picture of the plant similar to mine. Hoping you can help. Cheers, Garrie
Cleaning your houseplants with clean water and a soft cloth is the best approach. Chemical sprays clog the pores of the leaves and are not recommended.

My indoor ficus tree is 25 years old and has recently been growing green pea-size balls which drop from the tree. This has never happened in all the years I've had the tree which was pruned years ago and is healthy. It has always been indoors and is placed near a large window. What are they and why is this happening?
The little round balls are the fruit (figs) of the ficus. Sometimes it takes several years for a ficus to fruit, the one in the forum thread link below took ten years!

My ficus tree is losing a lot of its leaves after they turned yellow. I live in Florida and the tree I keep out in the Florida room where it gets the morning sun till about 10:00 a.m. I got the tree 2 years ago. Thanks for your help. Chayo Feth.
Ficus do not like to be moved, and will drop leaves to show you their unhappiness.
Find a nice bright, filtered sunlight location for you plant.
Check the watering and care against the care in the links below.
Keep in mind that a Ficus will lose small amounts of leaves on a regular basis.
