I have repotted my lovely plant one time. I have noticed that the tips of the "leaves" are turning brown, like that part is dead. It clears up for a short while, now it's back again. This is my first experience with this plant, I'd hate to loose it. It is now slightly over 3" tall (dirt to tip). Help! Thank you!
Dracaena tips turning brown can be caused by excess fluoridated water. Try using distilled water.

What do you do about mass cane plant browning leaves?
This depends on what caused the browning leaves. There are many reasons that this could be the case. Overwatering, too much sunlight, and too much nutrients in the soil will be most common.

If I should cut them off, how far back on the shoot should I cut?
If there is no chance of another issue like this again- You can cut it back to the height of your preference. They take to pruning, unlike true palms.

Hi I have a Dracena Compacta with brown/ yellow leaf tips. Haven't watered for almost 3 wks but soil still feels damp. (including 1 inch down) Also lots of millipedes in soil. I mist it everyday and new growth doesn't look bad. It had been near a radiator for a while a couple of weeks ago. Pot has holes and is sat on pebbles in a tray. Leaves extremely 'crispy' Can you help with possible cause - I'm guessing under or over watering?
I am concerned about over watering if the soil is still damp after three weeks. Are there enough pebbles in the tray that the pot is elevated enough to avoid absorbing the water in the pebble tray? The scorched leaves also could be from fluoride toxicity or too much fertilizer buildup. I also would consider repotting in fresh potting soil. Millipedes sometimes eat plant roots.

I would like to dice this plant into sections and root. The plant is 3 feet tall. I’m would it more compact. Also can you tell me the name of this plant?
Fortunately, this is a Dracaena fragrans, which will propagate just fine with this method! Here is an article that will help:
