We have had some luck cutting pups from our yucca plants, putting cuttings into water until they show roots, then planting them in soil in pots. They are still alive and look nice but have not seemed to grow any in about a year's time. Question: what is the best way to take these pups from a mature plant that has ten or more in order to make additional yucca plants? There has not been a very clear explanation on the web that we as novices can clearly understand. Where do you cut, how do you cut, put into water or soil, in a pot or outside? Other than trial and error we are lost. Can you explain it to us, please?

Does my indoor yucca plant need feeding? And how do I clean the leaves of my indoor yucca plant?
Generally, yuccas do not require any fertilizer. However, using it sparingly in small amounts certainly won't hurt the plant. I would also suggest using one aimed at cacti or succulent plants. As for cleaning the leaves, they can be kept dust and dirt free by using a damp cloth, but please wear gloves, as their sword-like leaves are extremely sharp.
I have a yucca plant in a container on my balcony. It gets sun for early morning until about 2-3pm. How much water does it need?
Yucca do not need to be watered that often--they are drought resistent. Too much water can lead to rotting. Simply give it a good, thorough watering about once a month. If the soil feels rather dry to the touch between waterings, you can go ahead and water.
Does a Yucca plant need to be in a draining pot or can I simply put it straight into a large decorative planter?
Yucca, as well as most other plants, require adequate drainage holes when placed in containers. You can either add drainage holes to your decorative pot or put the yucca plant inside a well-draining container and set this inside the decorative pot, placing it on stones (or something similar) to prevent it from sitting in water. Be sure to empty any extra standing water from the decorative pot.
My Yucca is in a 5-gallon pot and has been on my patio in the shade for 2 years. Now the leaves are turning, which has not happened before. I did fertilize it 3 weeks ago. I water it once a month. I live in Arizona. What can I do to make it healthy again.
Has it gotten too big for its container? If so, it may need repotting. The following article should be of some help to you: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/foliage/yucca/caring-for-and-landscaping-with-yuccas-outdoors.htm
How often should one water an indoor yucca plant?
Water indoor yucca plants only when the top inch of soil is completely dry. Also, do not allow it to stand in water, as this will lead to root rot.
