Hi its me again, when I reply back to your reply to me do you see it or do i have to always come back here and ask my questions??? My last question was about charcoal and you replied yes its fine to use. I also asked about humidity tray you replied its fine if my house is dry.....my question was specific to the article I read I will copy and paste it: also last but not least, in one of the links above (in my email), I think its the first one, to create more humidity, the article states: Placing a tray of pebbles filled with water beneath the Christmas cactus container is a good way to add more humidity to the home. won't the pot the christmas cactus is in absorb the water? I also read that only put some water below the pepples to keep the christmas cactus from being wet. won't the pot the christmas cactus is in absorb the water? I also read that only put some water below the pepples to keep the christmas cactus from being wet????? This is what I'm doing for right now.....I have 2 containers one on each side of my plant filled with water is this good???? Thank you very much for your patience, I know I'm a piece of work. thank you again and again Vicki
This article discusses how to raise the humidity levels around plants.

What can be done about water marks on the leaves of Christmas cacti?
These can usually be wiped off, but this can be a sign that your water is salty, or the start of powdery mildew. Can you include photos? This will help me to see, exactly, what the problem is.
On page www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/cacti-succulents/christmas-cactus/how-to-propagate-and-plant-christmas-cactus.htm it says: "...taking a short, Y-shaped cutting from the stem tip.." What does that mean?
The best cuttings are those that have two smaller segments growing from one segment, thus a Y shape, as in some of the pictures of the cuttings on this page:
http://vitalifeliving.blogspot.com/2013/07/christmas-cactus-cuttings.html
However, if you can't find this on your plant, a cutting that includes 2-3 segments growing in a straight line instead of a Y shape should also root.
I just received (in the mail) a Christmas Cactus in a 4in pot . And was wondering if I could take cutting from it now or wait until it is acclimated to my climate?
Sure you can use a small plant for propagation.

My Christmas cactus has raised bumps on some of the leaves and on two of the leaves the raised bumps seem to have peeled and a colorless dry spot remains ....is it a disease and can my other cactus catch it? Thank you Tricia I do not have a way to show you
Without a photo, it will be very hard to correct. This matches several possible issues. If there is a way that you can provide photos, then I can make better assessment. For now, I can only give you an article that will explain proper care: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/cacti-succulents/christmas-cactus/advice-for-christmas-cactus-care.htm
Can I plant more than one Christmas cactus cutting in a pot once they become rooted and are ready to transplant?
Should epiphyllum blooms be deadheaded after blooming?
Orchid cacti do not require frequent pruning, but annual maintenance pruning helps keep the plant balanced and healthy.
Clip off all flowers after the blossoms expire. Make a cut just below the flower head.
