Can a calla lily be planted outdoors all year in zone 6? Will a calla lily survive in below freezing temps?
Calla Lily is hardy in zones 8-10.
You can plant your Calla Lily outdoors but will need to lift the bulbs before winter.
You can also grow in a container for the summer and move the container indoors for the winter.

Why does water drip from the tips of the leaves? The drops seem to come from nowhere.
This is called Guttation.
The excess water is being pushed out of the plant. It's a normal process.

I bought a yellow calla lily last week for my beloved retriever's memory. We had her put to sleep last night and the leaves of the plant are dropping tear drops all day today. Is this normal or can it feel my pain?
Yes, this is a normal process for the plant to rid itself of excess moisture.
It is called Guttation.
We are sorry for the loss of your beloved pet.

I planted calla lilies last week, in a morning sun and warm shade in evening. Kept them watered, added Miracle Grow gardening soil to the soil with mulch on top of soil. They were beautiful for about a week, but now the foliage is yellowing and they look wilted. What can I do to save them?
Your Calla Lily should be planted in full sun or part sun location.
The bulbs or rhizomes should be planted about 4 inches deep and watered well after planting. The soil needs to be moist but well draining. Over watering can lead to root rot.
I looks like your plants may be suffering some transplant shock.
Check the soil moisture before watering instead of watering on a schedule.
Do not fertilizer until you see them actively growing.

Remember that if you live in a colder growing zone you will need to lift the plants to store for winter. Calla Lily are hardy in zones 8 and warmer.

Some "flowers" are turning brown on the edges. How much should I trim off of the plant?
Once the calla flower begins to die, it rolls up into a tube, often turning green on the outside. These spent blossoms should be clipped off through a technique called "deadheading". More information on deadheading can be found in the following article:

I recently received a calla Lily from someone who had been in the hospital. The poor thing was in a plastic cup with foliage about one foot tall. I repotted immediately but it already had dead leaves and stems. There are three blooms and new shoots that were already there. How will I know if I saved it or is it too late?
As long as you see new or green growth, the plant is still alive and there is a chance that you can save it. That being said, it may take some time, a few years even, before it recovers completely and achieves it's former glory. So the effort to save it may not be worth the time. It is really a personal choice.
This article may help with getting the plant to recover:

I live in Missouri and was told that calla lilies are considered a perennial. Do I have to dig them up or can I just leave them in the ground? Thanks
If grown in zones 8 or higher the Calla Lily plants can winter over in the ground.
You will need to bring indoors for winter in your region.
