    There are a number of different types of begonias; some are started from seed (usually the pros only do this), cuttings (if you have mature plants you love) and tubers. Tuberous begonias are the ones you often see in big, showy hanging baskets and mixed containers. The flowers are large and colorful. See examples here:https://www.leafari.com/begonias.html

    Removing the spent flowers or deadheading will encourage the plant to rebloom. If you are fertilizing you begonias use a product lower in nitrogen and higher in phosphorus and potash to encourage new flower development. I have had great success with water soluble fertilizers like super bloom.

    Make sure you are not over fertilizing. Too much nitrogen will inhibit flowering.

    I would wait until the plant is done flowering or until the weather is a bit cooler.
    Only go up one pot size to avoid root rot.
