I have a basil plant, and it's planted in a pot. I have almost tried everything except fertilizing it. I tried to give it a lot of water and I tried less water, and it keeps getting yellow, then falls off. What should I do?
It looks like your basil plant has grown very large for the pot it's in and needs some pruning. Basil leaves can turn yellow when they get old, which happens when the plants aren't trimmed very often. To improve the plant's health, you could trim them back as explained in this article:
https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/herbs/basil/pruning-back-basil-plants.htm
And you can use the leaves that you prune off in cooking. After pruning, give the plant less water than usual, since it will have fewer leaves to use the water. Make sure the soil gets almost dry before you water again.
The leaves on my basil plants have black spots and I don't know how to rid my basil plants of that problem. My research has shown that it's a fungal disease. Can you help me find a solution?
The most likely cause is bacterial leaf spot of basil. These articles will help:

I transplanted my basil. Now the leaves are droopy. Did I overwater it?
Droopy leaves after transplanting are very common, and the plant will likely recover if it's watered every day until it is established:
Overwatering is less likely with plants planted in the ground, unless your drainage is quite poor. In that case you would see water puddling and taking a long time to soak into the soil.
Many investigations tell me basil indoors will smell like cat urine. I was also told some kinds don't. Can you shed some light on my problem? I brought a potted basil indoor this fall. Was doing great but noticed the smell right away. Did not smell up close. But filled the home with Stinko! Sheet the trial days trying to figure out why I dumped it outside. Any info would be great. Thanks for your time. Wayne from Michigan.
No that is incorrect. This is nothing to do with differences in perception. The cat pee odour in some basil species is well established and signals the presence of undesirable mercaptan compounds (also present in Sauv blanc wine and black currant bud and similar to cat pheromones).
Some peoples sense of smell interprets the scent as the offensive odor of cat pee.
You can try different varieties of Basil that may be more pleasing to you. Thai Basil, Cinnamon Basil, Lemon Basil or Lime Basil may be options for you.
I just planted tulasi seeds in pots and they sprouted and grew some 5-10 cm long. I used panchagavya as a fertilizer. But after an hour or 2 after the application when I checked on my plant, the leaves where the panchagavya got in contact while sprinkling on them turned a bit black. Is it going to harm my Tulasi?
Basil may need only a light fertilizer application. If the soil is of good quality, this is likely enough nutrition for the plant.
It sounds as if you burned the plants with direct contact from a fertilizer.

How long should basil plants need lighting under a plant light indoors?
This will depend on the type of grow light you use.

Three days ago I planted a number of organic seedlings. Since then, the leaves of the basil, eggplant, and particularly the zinnias have been attacked by something that finds them tasty. Any idea of culprits and what I can do about them, at least while the plants are smaller and more vulnerable?
There are a few pests that like to dine on Basil.
