How do I start an apricot tree from the pit?
This article should help you: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/apricots/growing-an-apricot-from-a-pit.htm
My large apricot tree has a white fungus at the base of the trunk (on the trunk, not in the soil). It has been there awhile, and it did not affect this year's apricots (they were amazing!). Can you help me figure out what to do? Cut it out? Tree medicine? Would love some direction. Thanks!!!!
You can treat it with a fungicide. Copper sulfate or neem oil works well. It sounds like it is just a cosmetic blemish, so there is nothing more you need to do than to treat it with this.
I live 5 miles from the Gulf, in Clearwater, FL. During the summer, it's humid just about every day with rain. Can I grow apricot tree here?
You can, but you need to find a low chill hour variety. They will need less cold to produce fruit. Here is a list of some varieties:

what does chill hours mean in regard to apricot trees
We have a lot of fruit on our apricot tree, but they have earwigs and ants. We are so discouraged with our fruit trees. We have a pear that apparently has fire blight. In case you need to know, we live in Nampa, Idaho.

Is it normal for the skin of the apricot from the Mongolian Apricot tree to be sort of bitter? The inside taste is fine. Thanks.
I am sorry you did not get an answer to your question. I did some research but cannot find an answer for you. There is discussion of bitterness around the seed but that's about it.
Yes, we have apricot trees that were on our property when we bought it. The trees look like they need help. What should we use as fertilizer on them? They did yield lots of apricots, but we did not know we had to thin them, so small but good.
While you can go with a balanced fertilizer (10-10-10), I would go with a little more phosphorus in the fertilizer mix. This will help with fruiting.
How do you prune an apricot tree?
