Hello, We have a well established apple tree, around 80 years, which we believe may of been effected by the frost as its blossom had began to fall. There was a dry spell of around two weeks prior to the frost. My question is will the tree recover it is now very brown and the branches now have peeling brown bark? underneath the bark there is green, as seen in picture. Does the peeling this suggest something more? I have attached photographs in hope it will help, what is the best way to recover the tree? Thank you, Tina
Damage from frost or freeze can take time to show itself.

I got an apple tree Feb 2016. In winter the leaves fell off. Now in June, I see new leaves at the bottom of the plant. Images attached. Does this look normal.
Those leaves are just suckers and should be trimmed off. Fruit trees frequently get suckers. This article should help:

A web has formed around end of branches. Within and around the web are caterpillars about 1cm long which eat the leaves and the small fruit. The leaves also turn brown. Can you tell me what this is and can it be treated? Thanks
It is an infestation of caterpillars. They are out of control back east. Tinfoil around the base of the tree worked for me. Cut off all the branches with them on it. Put them in a bag and throw away. They will come back to that tree.
I have no flowers or apples and have not for a few years.
This could be associated with how the tree was pruned in the past. Our warm winters in some parts of the country have played havoc on fruit trees as well so this may be a variable.
You may want to start with a soil test. You can make determinations on soil and if you are needed to fertilize or amend your soil.
You County Extension Office can help you with a soil test.
The article below can help you pinpoint the lack of fruit.

I cannot find anything on these apples.
I believe this is the work of the Codling Moth.
You can take a sample to your County Extension Office for an inspection.
