Q.Sweet Pea Usually Our Flowers Are Red.
This year our flowers were mostly white. When they were about 1/2metre high I spread some coffee grinds at the base, Do you think they changed the colour

Most modern Sweet Pea cultivars have co-dominant color gene combinations. Some are, even, marketed as "color changing" so it can be expected from time to time. Make sure that your soil nutrition is good, and do not feed them sources of nitrogen (like coffee grounds) since they harvest their own atmospheric nitrogen. If you choose to feed them at all, make sure that it is a blend that contains phosphorus and potassium, only. This will promote healthy blooms without adding extra nitrogen.
