Sugar Fig Tree

Question

Mu sugar fig tree is about 8 years old and has never produced figs to harvest. I have fertilized the tree and built a levy around it for water retention, but nothing has worked. Is there a fertilization problem? I took the pup from a tree that I know produces really sweet, juicy figs every year.
