Q.Sudden growth of Long Grass

Zone cm8 1jl | sheila51 added on October 17, 2014 | Answered

We have a ‘different’ grass growing on our lawn and it is long (about 12 inches) with wider blades than normal. We have no idea how or where it came from – what’s the best way to get rid of it, as it has grown in our bedding area and I am suspect that we inherited it when we purchased our plants!

It may have come in on the bedding plants - more likely the wind or a bird blessed you with a seed. However, very easy to get rid of in a eco-friendly way. Which I would advise you to do before roots can spread, or it can go to seed. Read on: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/special/organic/homemade-pet-friendly-weed-killer.htm
