Q.String of Pearls

Zone 65803 | nadiat562 added on March 25, 2018 | Answered

I just bought two string of pearl plants, I read that they are like cactus and are okay indoors under bright artificial light. Also, I haven’t had a chance to pot them into a succulent type potting mix. I do have a well drainage mix but it isn’t “sandy”. Will they do okay? Should I just take them home and repot them?

Yes, they will do well under horticultural lighting. The succulent mix, whether sandy or not, will be most suitable for these plants. Just don't let them dry out too much, as they like lightly moist soil.
