Q.Starting a Flower Garden
Greetings and Salutations !
I would like to buy some plants but I’ve never done a garden before. I am REALLY intimidated by the spacing and sizing aspect.
I know that I want all UNIQUE perennials for my island – see pic below.
I can dig up the Stella D’Oro daylillies if you think so, but the Mrs. wants to keep the two Otto Luyken laurels in the two corners.
The dimensions of this “triangular” island are approximately 26′ X 22′ X 24′
Ideally I’d like some BRIGHT, low-growing ground cover, then a few taller plants, then a few more taller plants climaxing with the highest (and concentrated in the center) to be some Fire Dance Red Hot Pokers.
What do you recommend?
