I love this houseplant and it seems to do well. I had one before we moved but it didn’t survive. It oly bloomed once in 6 years. Can I I get it to bloom more often?

This will flower during longer daylight hours, and high temperatures. The only way to do this outside would be to let nature take its course. Since it is indoors, you can control this yourself. Just use a bright horticultural light to extend the day period to 18 hours or more. Make sure it is warm in the area, and it will flower.

Here is an article for more information on the plant: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/cacti-succulents/starfish-flower/growing-starfish-flowers.htm
