Q.Standard Lilac Tree

I have got a standard lilac tree,it must be 10 years old. This year it was showing new growth and then it has just stopped. It looks like it has died. Do I just leave it and see what happens. Thanks Geoff

Try to find the source of the problem. Check for disease and insects. Powdery mildew is a common problem in lilacs but it doesn't usually kill them. These articles should help:
