Spots on leaves

Question

This is a small shrub trained into a small tree. In spring it has beautiful yellow flowers but I noticed these spots. What causes them and how do I correct it?

This is a leaf spot disease that could be bacterial or fungus.
Treatment will vary for both with the exception of clean up and removal of diseased plant material.
