Spot For Lenten Rose

Question

Have my plants on west side of house, but lots of trees. They are just behind the drip line of my roof. Is that too wet? They’re only a couple of years old.

I would, at least, be sure that the soil is allowed to dry down to a depth of 3 or 4 inches or so between the times that it does receive water. If this is not possible, and it remains wet, then I would change locations.
