Q.Spirea shrub

Zone Cambridge, Ontario, Canada (southwestern Ontario) | junebugone added on April 18, 2017 | Answered

I live in Canada, in South Western Ontario. I am having problem with a Rabbit eating my Spirea shrub, especially in winter. I bought covers for them that are fastened into the ground which freeze and do not move once winter comes. Then when I removed them to get the warmer sunlight, the rabbit came back and has actually killed one of my shrubs.

Do you know of anything I can put around my shrubs to deter the rabbits? I prefer a “natural” deterent if you know of one. I still have 3 left but they are not getting larger due to this crazy rabbit.

I appreciate any solution that you might have. Thank you.
