Q.small fruit falling from tree

Anonymous added on July 2, 2015 | Answered

Small fruit just a few weeks old and pale yellow in color is falling from our potted tree. Lots of other well developed fruit are on all the branches. Is this just a natural selection process where too many fruits are on one branch? The tree is three years old and four feet tall and otherwise seems healthy.

Typically young fruit drop is caused either by a lack of pollination or a lack of water, especially those in containers. Too much fruit is also possible. Make sure that the tree is getting enough water and also that you are getting pollinators to your garden.
