Q.Silk tree pruning

Zone Picton, NSW 2571 | ironbarks added on December 2, 2017 | Answered

Have a well established silk tree in newly acquired home planted close to house. Can I prune it away from gutters?

Will it send long shoots like jacaranda?

Pruning the tree will not hurt it. The best time to prune is when it is dormant for the year. This article will give you more information about the tree: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/trees/mimosa/growing-silk-trees.htm
