Q.Spiderworts
Should Spiderworts stay green and flower for the entire summer? The leaves of my spiderworts have started to turn gold/brown and start to die out (looks like rust, which I have treated with a product for rust from the nursery). This happens every year by the first of July they start to turn. I live in the Chicago, IL area.
Overly moist growing conditions can make Spiderworts more susceptible to Rust.
Water only when necessary. A boost of Nitrogen fertilizer can help.
