Q.Should I Trim A Young Pink Saucer Magnolia?

Zone 32720 | Anonymous added on July 11, 2021 | Answered

I recently planted a new magnolia. It is putting out new branches near the base. Should I trim them, or ignore them? The tree is about 4 ft.tall now.

If the tree has been grafted (you should see the graft near the base of the tree), and the branches are appearing below the graft, they need to be removed.
