Q.Should I Remove Old Mulch Before Using Cow Manure Compost?
I live in Houston, Zone 9. In a new bed started this spring, I put down wood chip mulch as a top cover. I am wanting to add cow manure compost to this bed. Can I add it directly on top of the wood chip mulch, or do I need to remove the mulch first? After adding the manure, do I have to have the wood chip mulch as a top layer? Thanks!
