Q.Should a fruit cocktail tree be growing and blooming in Winter?

Zone Spring City, TN | Crazy4Ezell added on February 20, 2019 | Answered

I got this tree about 5 or 6 years ago. The first Winter it grew 1 to 2 feet and was covered in leaves. It didn’t bloom until a 1 or so later. It blooms like crazy, but no fruit. It’s in full bloom right now.

Yes, this is perfectly normal. Many Prunus species start flowering in very early Spring. Enjoy the blooms!
