Salt on ground

Shelley, thanks for the response, but since I have already dumped salt on the ground, I really need to know if the salt will kill or damage the things on the other side of the fence.

It really depends - how much salt\how thick an application did you dump? If enough was put down the potential exists for it to wash into the other side and damage plants. Here is an article that discusses further:
