Q.Shallow Root Plants To Put Around A Mailbox With A Concrte Base

Zone Branford 06405 | Anonymous added on June 27, 2021 | Answered

Hi, We had our mailbox secured into the ground with concrete. We have around 4 inches of soil on top of the concrete. Is there anything hardy that could sustain life in so little soil looking nice for CT summers or Very could winters.

I think your best bet for an area like that would be a low-growing groundcover. Here's an article about low growing groundcovers: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/groundcover/gcgen/low-growing-plants-walkway.htm
