Q.Shade ground cover

Zone Macon, GA | chetnovak added on May 19, 2018 | Answered

I have about 2000 sf of highly (80%) shaded area on a gentle slope. I just want it covered with anything that will help prevent erosion. Best if it is something rabbits don’t like to eat. What do you suggest

Finding something that rabbits won't eat will be difficult. The best method will be to find something that spreads so quickly that their eating will not bother the plants. I will need to know your USDA zone to better give you a recommendation of the plants that you can use.

In the meantime, here is an article that will give you examples of general groundcover that will do well in shade: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/special/shade/ground-covers-for-shade.htm
