Q.Schefflera plant

Anonymous added on June 28, 2015 | Answered

I was given a large Schefflera plant. I have it in front of my patio door. I water when the soil seems dry. The leaves keep falling off. Every day I have more leaves on the floor. Pretty soon I will have a bald plant. What am I doing wrong?

If the leaves are yellowing as well, then the plant is receiving too much water. If no yellowing exists, then the plant may simply be in need of some additional humidity. This can be done with daily misting of the foliage or setting the pot on a tray of pebbles filled with water.
