scheffelera tree

Question

My scheffelera tree has multiple stalks and is about 12 feet tall. I need to prune it back by about 6 feet. Do I prune it so that the cut ends are at a slant or flat across?

It makes no difference what angle you prune the stems. Try to prune just above a node.
