Q.Saving my Spider Palm
I have a spider palm that I have been caring for for 14 years. I usually keep it outside in Florida in the winter and outside in the summer months in NE Ohio. This year I am staying in NE Ohio for the winter and have moved the plant inside. It is next to the window and sometimes it gets very cold. Recently, the leaves are turning brown and I am concerned it may be in trouble. I have attached some pictures. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. It was my mom’s plant who passed in 2004, so I am sure you understand my attachment to the beautiful spider palm. Thank you
Spider Plants to prefer a cooler environment, around 55 to 65 degrees F.
Any colder and it could stress the plant. Below freezing will likely kill the plant.
I do see that your plant is quite low in the room. You can see that the lower leaves are receiving much less light from the window.
You could raise up the plant to be more level with the window. Rotating the plant can also help.
It does look like the plant could use a clean up of dead leaves.
