Q.Sago palm

Zone 30809 | Anonymous added on December 29, 2017 | Answered

I have a sago palm that looked as though it was growing additional leaves. But as the “shoots” continued to grow, they now just look like they are dying. Have been search online but haven’t found any info on this.

I think your sago palm is not receiving enough light. This is probably why the new leaves seem to be dying. A sunnier window or a grow light will help, and it's also benefical to put your plant outdoors during the summer so it can get extra light. Don't worry if this doesn't produce immediate results, because sagos tend to store up energy for a long time before they start growing again.
