Q.rubber plant

arnold added on October 23, 2013 | Answered

I’ve got a rubber plant which is very young (12″tall) and it has 10 leaves on it, some of which have just come out new. My problem is the plant doesn’t seem to want to open out and all the leaves are closed in. The pot it’s in is about 5″ tall and 4″ square. Any ideas?

Not quite sure what you mean by, "...the plant doesn’t seem to want to open out and all the leaves are closed in." The container size seems a little small for the size plant you describe. If it's potbound, repot it into a 6 or 6 1/2 inch container.
