Q.Rooting a Cutting Off Butterfly Bush

Anonymous added on June 4, 2011 | Answered

I have a Butterfly Bush and one of the branches of it was broken off at the ground last night during a bad storm. There is about 3 inches of hardwood at the base and 12 or more inches of softwood in two different branches coming off of that. How can I root this? If at all possible, I would like to do it from the two branches of softwood, which are coming off of the hardwood section and make it into two different plants. I would appreciate any help that you can give me.
