Q.Rooftop Gardening

Anonymous added on March 20, 2014 | Answered

You’re my last stop. I’m tired. Was watching a real estate progam the other night, and just happened to come across a rooftop garden. In this picture it looked like a long burlap bag filled with soil, but when they were done with it, it looked like they rolled it up! They were planting everything in it. If you can help me with this search, I would be very thankful.

The closest thing that comes to mind would be a rool-out garden, which is basically a roll of compacted soil that you roll out, water and grow. There are different types available depending on your needs. It could also be an earthbag garden that was constructed (which could work on rooftops too). Here is more information on that: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/garden-how-to/projects/building-earthbag-garden-beds.htm For additional help with rooftop gardening, these articles may help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/special/urban/rooftop-gardening-for-city-dwellers.htm, https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/special/urban/creating-your-own-rooftop-garden.htm
