Q.Rhubarb – Leaves And Stalks Flattened By Rain?

A first year plant, nothing harvested, most of the leaves and stalks are lying flat (due to weather?) – what should I do?

Since you won't be using this year's stalks, it's okay to go ahead and cut the plant all the way back. You may want to mulch over the remaining crown for winter protection. Use gloves when handling the leaves. Here are some tips:
