Removing reeds from a large area.

Question

Hello, my backyard has been over take by reeds. I read on your site to use thin clear plastic for solar sterilization.

I’m looking to kill all the reeds, vines, ivy, etc. Will thin clear plastic still be my best bet, or use black?

Area is 50’x300′

Black Plastic is the recommendation. Black will block out the sunlight.
