Q.Red Spots On The Leaves Of A Fiddler Fig

I received this plant as a house warming present. It is outside in a screen room. It is starting to get red spots on the leaves. It gets watered twice a week. Any help as to why or what to do would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Hugh Lynch

This is a fungal infection, but it looks humidity related. I would use a fungicide of your choice, and spray the soil and plant according to the instructions.

Make sure to water, only, when the soil is dry down to about 2 or 3 inches between watering. This will allow the most important portion of the soil to dry out enough to keep beneficial microbes around, but not keep it wet enough to let destructive microbes multiply.
