Q.Red Onions

I planted my red onions from bulbs on Mother’s day (May 8th), but now the stalks are 12 to 14 inches tall and getting yellow buds on the end of some of them. What should I do?

These are just flower buds. Many people just cut them off so that the onions focus their energy on the bulbs. Here is some information to help you keep them from flowering in the future:
