Q.Red Montbretia Lucifer Crocosmia
I accidentally got rid of a red montbretia lucifer crocosmia that my wife liked and have planted some new seeds to grow a new set. I was wondering if you have a photograph of what red montbretia lucifer crocosmia look like when they first appear above the soil and are young plants as don’t know what to look for any help would be much appreciated. I’m new to gardening.

Did you plant seeds or corms (similar to bulbs)? Seeds can take years to bloom and may look different from the parent plant. Corms should bloom the next year after planted. Seeds can be planted in a container and protected from winter cold by placing in a cold frame or garage. I do not have a photo, but seedlings look like thin blades. Lucifer is more reliable from seed than other cultivars. You can find YouTube videos online about growing Lucifer from seed with photos of the seedlings. Here is more info:
