Q.Red Dwarf Kangaroo Paw Infection
I’m at a loss on how to help many of my kangaroo paws (Anigozanthos x `Bush Ballad`, Red Dwarf Kangaroo Paw) who are all suffering from this red leaf tinge. Does anyone know what this is? I’ve looked everywhere and I cannot confirm exactly what this is and how to treat it. No other of my plants have this. I’ve tried pruning them all the way down to the bulb, then spraying them with fungicide. First was Yates Liquid Copper and after that did not work after 2-3 weeks I pruned again to get rid of the bad leaves and then used Yates Rose Shield. So far I’ve had no luck. Am I doing something wrong? I would really like to save them as there’s about 10 of them all looking the same as the pictured one.

I would start with finding out what the pH is and the nutrient levels of the soil. This will rule out either of these factors.

If these come back within reasonable ranges, then you can start to look at other factors. This might require the help of your local extension or horticultural services. Treatment can vary from species to species.
