Q.Recovery of Transplanted Fig Tree

Anonymous added on April 6, 2014 | Answered

I live in Cape Town, South Africa. I have transplanted a small fig tree without the root soil and planted it 2 hours after removing it. The leaves have dropped off and the plant looks unhealthy. What can I do to revive this tree? I have cut the stems down to and left one main branch.

It is probably a bit of transplant shock. I would give it some fertilizer, water every day and this article will help as well: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/environmental/learn-how-to-avoid-and-repair-transplant-shock-in-plants.htm
