Q.Re Planting A Persimmon Tree

Zone 83815 | nurse4him added on November 4, 2022 | Answered

I recently posted a question regarding planting a persimmon tree and realized the tree may be planted in 6-11: I am zone 5. Will the tree thrive in a zone 5? Thx! Sorry for the misunderstanding re zones.

With lots of extra mulching during the winter, it is likely to. You will need to remove it in the spring, but mulch can help. It will be necessary to understand that any unseasonably cold winter can kill the tree, however.
