Q.Rabbits are eating my flowers

Zone Vermont | dottie doodles added on July 7, 2012 | Answered

Someone told me to buy a spray bottle and add cayenne pepper to the water, then spray on my flowers. Does this work? Do I need to respray after each rain? If the cayenne mix gets on the plant, will it damage the plant? Does anyone know of surefire way to keep the rabbits away other than cold hard steel from the barrel of a shot gun? I don’t own a gun, but I’m just about ready!!!

Yes, you can use pepper spray or even sprinkle it in the garden. It will not hurt your plants. Some people find this efffective, while others do not. Here is an article that you may find helpful: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/how-to-keep-rabbits-out-of-gardens.htm
