Q.Query Regarding Growing Rhubarb In A Pot

Zone Mansfield, England | Anonymous added on July 30, 2021 | Answered

I recently bought a rhubarb plant in a pot. It’s well fed and watered, and already had a few thin stalks and leaves on it. I’ve read that I shouldn’t harvest these, although they are too thin to do anything with anyway. Should I just leave the stalks and leaves in place for now, or cut them back to encourage new growth. Thanks for any advice you can give me. Martin Henstock

I would leave any growth unless it is dead. It will fare better with leaving the leaves to process sunlight. This article will help:
